Each of the South-Western's seven SCANS2000 CD-ROM simulations presents a challenging, interactive workplace experience that helps the user develop the skills most in-demand by employers today. In Buliding a Problem Solving Team, Central Valley Graphics, a busy printing-plate manufacturer, increasingly incurs film damage in storage. Users acquire communication and methodological skills that will help them assemble a problem solving team to address the situation. In this workplace they will: 1) interview prospective team members 2) develop strategies to manage diverse team members 3) select a viable solution and defend the findings in a written report and in an oral presentation.
